Bella Lesslie

Centre Manager

Bella joined the CUC in 2020, bringing over a decade of experience in online education and academic publishing, including running her own learning design business and working with a range of universities and private providers. Having completed a Master of Teaching through the University of Wollongong’s Southern Highlands campus, she understands firsthand the importance of accessible, supportive learning environments in regional areas. Bella also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications and International Studies), a Graduate Certificate in Publishing, and is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Career Development.

At CUC Goulburn, she has led the transition to the new site at 91 Bourke St and has been central to establishing academic, course, and careers advisory services, alongside developing CUC Goulburn's school and community programs.

Cathy McNiven

Centre Coordinator

Cathy joined the CUC in 2019, and has a background in small business, having supported her family business locally for fifteen years. She is a graduate of Charles Sturt University, holding a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), where she developed a strong understanding of the challenges faced by regional students.

She is passionate about supporting students to achieve their study goals and is key to the success of CUC Goulburn's student services, marketing, and facilities, helping to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Meg Southwell

Academic Advisor

Meg joined the CUC in 2023, bringing extensive experience in the university sector, with several years spent in a range of teaching and learning roles. She holds a PhD in Archaeology from the University of New England, reflecting her strong academic background and depth of expertise.

Her professional experience, combined with her own study journey alongside family responsibilities, has given her a clear understanding of the challenges students may face. She is well equipped to provide informed and empathetic support to those navigating their academic pathways.

Jason Yip

Outreach Coordinator

A Goulburn local, Jason joined the CUC in 2025, committed to ensuring students in the region see university, career, and entrepreneurial pathways as accessible and achievable. At CUC Goulburn, he leads the On Course program, working with local high schools and mentors to engage and support students as they explore pathways to further study.

He brings extensive experience in higher education, having worked in Student Life and Careers & Employability at the Australian National University. His work included leading orientation and transition programs, supporting first-year students, and coordinating mentoring initiatives that enable students from diverse backgrounds to succeed. Jason also has an entrepreneurial background and was recently awarded a Judge’s Choice Award in UOW’s iAccelerate RISE program for a sustainable housing venture.
